A little voice called out from the bedroom. I had just returned from the grocery store and I was putting things away in the kitchen.
The little voice piped up again. "Mommy! Kissy! Huggy!"
Oh I love that! Kissy. Huggy. I wonder when that stops? When do little girls stop adding the double consonant, followed by the "y" suffix, to the end of words like "kiss" and "hug" and "mom"? Considering that my 6-year-old still does it, and my 12-year-old does not, it is probably safe to say that it stops somewhere between 6 and 12.
Kissies and huggies. There is no such thing as too many of a good thing like that.
